Going back and listening to my Clash records again. If only I had a time machine; I couldn’t even imagine how amazing it would be to see them live. There was a vibe so different about The Clash, no other band could convey what they did in the same way. From Joe Strummer’s growl, to Mick Jones’ urgent songwriting, and Paul Simonon’s unreal bass playing. I don’t know why I’ve always been so attracted to the bass guitar, but Paul Simonon is a huge factor in that. If you haven’t listened in a while, go put on Sandinista, or London Calling, or Combat Rock, or whatever. Just do it, it’ll feel really good.
The Clash, Gorillaz, The Good The Bad and the Queen…
Paul Simonon is the guy. One of my favorite bass players, and a huge reason as to why I love the bass guitar so much. Every project he’s been apart of is great.

Paul Simonon and Strummer. So much swag.

Mick Jones. Highly underrated for his fantastic and vital deliverences to The Clash’s music. One of my favorite musicians.
